It is easy to call 911 during an emergency situation. However, you may have wondered how you can get in touch with 911 if you cannot speak. Your Smartphone can make it easier for you to communicate in an emergency situation. You can communicate without even saying a word.

For example, you are in the back of an Uber or Taxi. You need to get help for yourself or someone else, and you cannot talk. You can also get help if you are by yourself and someone around you is making you uncomfortable. All you have to do is tap your phone, and you can get the help that you do not need.

There is a feature on iPhones called Emergency SOS. If you have a newer iPhone, then you can use this feature by holding down the volume button and side button. You can activate Emergency SOS by pressing the side button five times in a row if your phone is older. When you slide your phone, it will call emergency services.

You will not have to say anything. Emergency services will be shown your location and number. Dutch Smith works for the Lakewood Police Department. He stated that they can find out where you live by doing a triangulation. Law enforcement officials will immediately be sent to the location.

A phone is more than just a device that allows you to communicate with people. It can actually save your life in an emergency situation. There is a similar feature on the Samsung Galaxy Android Phone.

However, you will have to activate it by going to the privacy and security section of the phone. Once it is activated, you can take a picture of where you are at and send it to your emergency contacts. There are also other emergency app that you can download.
