Two women have created an app that will help sexual assault and domestic violence victims. Heather Glogolich is a police lieutenant. Sheri Kurdakul is a CEO.
Heather has worked in law enforcement for the past 15 years. She has been a police lieutenant since March 2019. She investigates domestic violence cases. She also teaches people ways that they can help domestic violence victims.
Heather understands that it can be difficult for domestic violence victims to build a case. She is a survivor of domestic violence. She said that an app like this could have saved her life.
Sheri is also a domestic violence survivor. She stated that the app will allow victims to safely and securely report domestic violence. The app will cost $39.95 to use. Once one pays the fee, they will be able to upload photos and document the incident. They will also be able to press charges against their abusers.
The user will be able to send the report to a lawyer. The lawyer will have access to all of the information. Sheri says that it is extremely important to document everything. She also said that this is one of the keys to transitioning from being a victim to a survivor.
Heather said that she believes that the app is brilliant. She and Sheri formed a team and are now a part of the VictimsVoice team. Sheri says that the app is not just limited to domestic violence victims. It can also be used by other victims of abuse.
Heather said that she is looking forward to helping people take back control of their lives. She also said that this is something that she has been looking forward to doing this for a long time. She also hopes that the app will help fill the void that many people have.
