Disney has made a big splash with the launch of their brand new streaming service called Disney+. The platform is getting rave reviews from both subscribers and people in the media. One of the most popular things that Disney+ has to offer is a show set in the Star Wars universe called “The Mandalorian.” The show has only aired three episodes and it has been streamed more than any other series in the United States. The previous title holder was “Stranger Things” on Netflix. It is not a surprise that “The Mandalorian” is such a huge hit. Star Wars has a very large fan base.

Disney announced that 10 million people have already jumped on board their new streaming service. This is a huge number of people when you consider that the platform has only existed for two weeks. “The Mandalorain has been in development for over two years. It has a budget that is estimated to be somewhere around $15 million for each episode. The production value of the series is so high that the special effects are just as good as a theatrical Star Wars movie. Disney hoped that the new series would get Star Wars fans to subscribe to the service. It seems like they got their wish.

The overall reviews for “The Mandalorian” have been outstanding so far. All of the positive buzz that the show has been receiving is one of the main reasons why people are seeking it out and streaming it. There is a character that looks a lot like a young version of Yoda. He has become an internet sensation and the breakout character of the show. There will be eight episodes for the first season. It was created by Job Favreau. He also wrote the first three episodes of the series that have aired so far.

“Stranger Things” has been a huge hit for Netflix.” The series released its third season back in the summer. It has held the title of the series that has been streamed the most for the past five months. However, the popularity of “The Mandalorian” has now put the series in a whole new class all by itself. This will definitely not be the last Star Wars series for Disney+. In fact, they have two series that are in development. One will air next year. The other will debut in 2021. It will feature Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi.
