In fact, many criminal investigations have stalled as a result of an Android phone being impossible for the cops to hack into.

This Chinese company had a ban placed on it by the president of the United States which will prevent all American companies from doing any business transactions with it. This means that Google will soon no longer be able to provide security updates to Android phones made by Huawei. Therefore, logic would say that Huawei Android devices are going to be easier to hack into. However, that remains to be seen.
