It will be getting more competition before the end of the year. Apple TV+ will be launching very soon. Apple has been paying very close attention to the success of Netflix and Amazon. They want to avoid making many of the mistakes that both Netflix and Amazon did in their early days. Apple has seen that Netflix and Amazon have made a lot of good movies. Now Apple wants to get in on the act. They have announced a large slate of movies that they have produced. All of them will be available on Apple TV+.
The movies produced by Apple could possibly open in the theaters first. They want to do this to give people the chance to see their movies on a big screen.
