Most people have battled depression at some point in his life. However, many people battle depression alone because they do not have any family members or friends that they can turn to. The good news is that there is an app that can help. The app was developed by four women who live in Mombusa.

People can sign into the app to get the help that they need for their depression. Latifa Noor is one of the co-creators of the PsychBeing app. She stated that many people in Africa are fighting depression and do not know where to turn. She believes that app will help people get the treatment that they need for depression.

People have to create a username and password in order to use the app. People can participate in group and community chats. Latifa stated that the app is secure, so people do not have to worry about experiencing cyberbullying. People can also use the app to chat one on one with a therapist.

Latifa stated that the therapists who use the app are highly-skilled. Many of them work at different hospitals and clinics in South Africa. The group chat allows people who have similar issues to talk to each other. For example, there are groups for people who have lost a loved one. There are also groups for people are having issues in their relationships.

Not only have Latifa and her team created a helpful app, but they have also teamed up with doctors and counselors in the country. They will be attending different workshops along with the doctors and counselors. People who participate in the workshops will be encouraged to sing, dance and recite poetry in order to express themselves and alleviate their depression symptoms. There is a website, Twitter page and Facebook page for the app.
