New reports that were released late last week said that Amazon was still conducting the sale of merchandise that included the Nazi paraphernalia. Two advocacy groups have been reported to have published the report. The Action Center on Race and the Partnerships for Working Families discovered this among other products sold on the Amazons sites. Items like Nazi imagery, the Swastika and German SS hats were still being sold on the Amazon platform. Reports are still not yet clear how much merchandise was sold on the platform. The investigation has also noted several examples of disturbing items that were targeted towards the children. A good example is the Nazi-themed Pepe, the child’s onesie that had a burning cross and the Frog fidget spinner.

In the year 2015, after a thorough public outcry regarding the exhibition of the affiliated flag that followed a mass shooting of the attendees of an African American church in South California, Charleston Amazon had pleaded not to sell any merchandise that had the flag. However, the store never kept its promise as there were instances where it sold T-shirts that had the patches of the flag regardless of the plea that the public had requested. Reports noted that the products were discovered in June. However, not all the products were discoverable according to a research that was done on Friday Afternoon. Albeit, some of the items that were listed in the report were still available at that moment before they were later pulled out. The investigation reported that some critic groups sold Kindle e-books.

The report also confirmed that the group said that streaming songs from hateful groups was accessible on Amazon’s websites. An Amazon spokesperson said in a statement that all third-party sellers that use Amazon’s marketplace should adhere to the policies. Those that decided to do otherwise were to be potentially subjected to very swift action and also their accounts could be terminated with immediate effect. For years now, Amazon has faced several accusations that until now the marketplace has not taken time to solve. They have been undertaking extensive periods to see the issues resolved.

It is now in the public domain that consumers have started to complain of some specific items like the Nazi flags. In the year 2012, the journalists had repeatedly pointed some specific products like the Nazi flags. Over the years, the controversies have continued despite the company speaking strictly about policies that ban items that are meant to glorify racial, hatred, sexual violence, and other religious intolerances.
