Snapchat thrives on Android. Through the Android operating system, the Snapchat app connects with untold numbers of users. Unfortunately, not every user boasts of an enjoyable experience with Snapchat. The app was known for bugs and other woes. All those troubles may be in the past now. Snapchat recently released a completely rebuilt Android app. The hope here is the new app will be devoid of all the old problems.

The new app isn’t a rush job by any means. Snapchat commenced work on the new Android app in early 2018. The lengthy amount of time it took for the designers to complete their project is somewhat surprising. The results may be worth the long efforts. Reportedly, the new app delivers a program on par with the app released on iOS systems.

Why it took so long for Snapchat to come up with a top app for Google’s Android system is perplexing. Maybe Snapchat’s design doesn’t blend well with the nuances of Android’s programming. Ultimately, the reason matters not. If users don’t gain the experience they want from an app, they cease using it. Even when the app serves a valuable purpose or is popular with millions of others, anyone who feels the effort to use the app is too involved may stop tapping on it.

Management at Snapchat knows success with apps, social media, and all-things-internet can be fleeting. The legend of MySpace’s fall reveals how a billion-dollar company can collapse quickly. Snapchat can’t afford to lose patrons from the Android world. A faltering, buggy app won’t help keep users coming back.

Interestingly, the new Snapchat app doesn’t come with any significant changes. The navigation, for example, stays the same. However, the speed comes in an improved version with lagging decreased. Users should appreciate the new version coming out.
