Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Mr. Trump China will pass on his invitation to help throw Biden to the corruption curb. Wang told the press China wants to get on with the trade deal. They started buying soybeans and pork again. Mr. Wang agreed to Trump’s trade terms months ago. But they won’t agree with Trump’s demand to change international corporate laws.

Huawei is an economic challenge now that Trump told Ren Zhengfei he’s a spy and a threat to U.S. security, reports CNet. Mr. Trump thought he could break Huawei when he wiped $2 billion in revenue from Ren’s books. Trump also made a one-for-the-Trumpster effort when he lobbied countries around the world to stop buying Huawei’s products. But that didn’t work. More than 60 countries signed up for the Huawei platform and their new Mate 30 Pro is one of the hottest smartphones on the international market.

Losing Huawei as a business partner hurts the U.S. tech sector. U.S. tech companies had joint 5G ventures in the works. Some tech companies can still work with Huawei if they get a license from Wilbur Ross and the Commerce Department.

The trade talks are on again, but few people expect Trump to change his mind about Huawei. And he won’t sign a deal if it only includes what he wants for the farmers. He wants China to bend its laws. But China stands firm on that issue. Unless Trump decides to sign a trade deal without his tech demands, the economy will continue to erode.

Tech stocks took a hit when Trump tried to pull a John Gotti move on the Ukraine president. Mr. Trump told the press Energy Secretary Rick Perry told him to call Zelensky. Zelensky knew the Trumpster wanted him to okay an investigation into Joe Biden before he released the $391 million in aid, according to the Washington Post.

Meng Wanzhou had her day in court in Canada. Her lawyers claim the FBI got their hands on Meng’s personal tech stuff before the Royal Canadian Police arrested her in Vancouver. Early 2019 news reports claimed Trump was behind Meng’s arrest. She is a pawn in Trump’s obsession to take down Huawei. Wanzhou is Ren Zhengfei’s daughter and the CFO of Huawei.

Wanzhou’s lawyers claim her civil rights went in a Vancouver toilet when the Canadian police kept her in a room for three hours while custom officials sent all her information to the FBI.
