There have been many articles written about how hard iPhones are to hack. The security measures that Apple puts into their phones are quite amazing. Google has been trailing behind Apple in terms of security offered by Android phones for a few years now. However, things might have changed. There have been recent police cases that suggest Android phones might now be harder to hack into than iPhones. There have been several instances where police have been unable to get into an Android phone that was confiscated from a suspect. It seems this problem is becoming very common these days. In fact, many criminal investigations have stalled as a result of an Android phone being impossible for the cops to hack into.

There are many theories about why this is the case. It is believed one of the reasons that Android phones are proving so hard to hack is because of the wide variety of companies that make them. The updates that are provided for these phones can be very different. Therefore, if the cops are able to hack into one specific Android model, the same technique might not work on a different Android model. However, all iPhones are basically the same. This means that finding a way to hack into an iPhone will give you access to all of them.

Facial recognition is now being commonly used as a way for people to lock their phones. This is one area where Apple is still superior to Google. There was a study conducted that used a plaster head in an attempt to gain access to various Android and Apple phones. The results were quite interesting. The plaster head was able to successfully fool the Android phones by tricking the facial recognition software into opening the various Android phones that were tested. However, none of the iPhones that were a part of the study could be unlocked by using the plaster head.

No company makes more Android phones than Huawei. This Chinese company had a ban placed on it by the president of the United States which will prevent all American companies from doing any business transactions with it. This means that Google will soon no longer be able to provide security updates to Android phones made by Huawei. Therefore, logic would say that Huawei Android devices are going to be easier to hack into. However, that remains to be seen.
