The world of EA’s Madden 20 NFL football has added a plethora of content over the past several days giving gamers more options for their Ultimate Team rosters. As of Friday, gamers were able to begin collecting new Madden 20 MUT Heroes players and Sidekicks. In addition, EA added another Madden Ultimate Team 10th Anniversary player with former Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski.

According to MUTHead, the new MUT Heroes promotion involves a “Hero” player which gamers can earn or acquire for each of the NFL teams. Some of the available stars include David Johnson, Matthew Stafford, Bobby Wagner, and Xavien Howard. Gamers need to put together sets of other player cards in order to achieve the Heroes. In addition, there are new MUT Heroes Challenges in the game where gamers earn stars. After progressing through enough Challenges to earn 140 Stars, gamers can choose a special upgraded Hero player card.


In addition to the MUT Heroes promotion, there are also several other new player cards in the Ultimate Team mode. Rob Gronkowski is the latest player to join the 10th-anniversary promotion. Gamers can play through a Challenge for Gronkowski to earn a Power Up version of the former tight end for their Ultimate Team. They also earn a special collectible token for a set. After achieving all 10 of the tokens, they are able to trade that set in for a Fantasy Pack to choose a star player of their choice.

The arrivals of the new Madden Ultimate Team content come after an update to the game this past week including a “Field of Fear” makeover to the game’s screens and content. The new makeover is in conjunction with the October fall and Halloween seasons. Throughout the week Madden has added more items including Flashbacks, Veterans, and Heavyweights through packs or the game’s Auction Browser.

On Saturday (Oct. 5), EA’s Madden is also adding another group of player items with their newest Legends players. Former Bears defensive star Brian Urlacher and Browns running back Jim Brown were the newest players to join that promotion in the game.

The EA Madden 20 football game is currently available for the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One where video games are sold
