Stephen Ross, an avid Trumpian with deep pockets, wanted to honor his pal of 40 years. According to some news reports, the Ross fundraiser put 12 million into the Trump’s campaign bank account. Ross took a serious beating for hosting the fundraiser. He is the major stockholder in two fitness companies, SoulCycle and Equinox. Both companies lost members for supporting Trump.

Trump was in rare form at the Hamptons event. The president threw some serious shade at two of America’s Asian allies. South Korea’s President Moon and Japan’s Prime Minister Abe felt the wrath of Trump’s lethal tongue. Both leaders were Trump fans before he decided to let his true feeling known about both men and their countries.

Mr. Trump wants South Korea to pay him for U.S. military support even though Trump claims his relationship with North Korea’s Kim Jon Un will cancel the need for America’s protection. Trump mocked Moon for caving in during his negotiations with North Korea. But Trump was the reason talks with Kim ended in Hanoi. Moon and Kim had a deal in the works, but Secretary of State Mike Pompeo changed the terms of the deal at the last minute.

Trump also turned on Abe. Trump asked Abe if World War II kamikaze pilots were drunk or on drugs when they did their dirty work. Then the president told his supporters about the beautiful letter Kim sent him. Trump said Kim apologized for his missile tantrums, and he wants to meet again. Trump also praised Saudi Prince Salman, and then he threw shade at the European Union.

The Chinese also got another round of Trumpian shade for walking away from the negotiating table. China won’t talk to Trump about a new trade deal. China doesn’t like the way Trump abuses other Asians and they also won’t let him change its trade laws.

When China banned Huawei from doing business with Google and other American tech companies, CEO Ren Zhengfei decided he would introduce HongMeng, Huawei’s new operating system. But the company changed the name of the system to the Harmony in order to make it sound more appealing to the West.

Huawei’s spokesperson said the company will introduce a smart TV equipped with the Harmony OS in August. The smart TV works as a central unit for all smartphone devices. Huawei still uses Google Android in its smartphones. But according to recent Huawei reports, the company’s smartphones will also use the Harmony OS if Trump doesn’t give Google a permanent license to sell its Android OS to Chinese tech companies.
