A famous Instagram photographer apologized to his fans after he was caught posting stock library content. Aiden had claimed that the images he had displayed were his work. According to a report by BBC, the Singapore based photographer, Aiden Daryl Yow, has more than 104,000 Instagram followers. Instagram is fully supported by the parent company Facebook. His popularity had triggered companies like Oppo, Uniqlo, and Sony to have the desire to work with him. Other brands were also interested in conducting business with him. Mr. Aiden agreed to the deception after a news website known as Mothership identified a couple of images that he had uploaded as his own. Most of the pictures were edited to alter their original color and composition.

The original versions of the photos were traced to CanStockPhoto, Unsplash.com, and Shutterstock among other websites. Aiden posted in his Instagram handle saying that he had foolishly conducted himself and that he had accepted full responsibility for his unjustified actions. He went on to say that he was ready to face the consequences of the activities that arose from his stupidity. He did not stop there. Aiden also said that he was wrong to say that the photos he had uploaded were his own. It was not right to use other peoples work to glorify himself. It was unlawful of him to have used wrong captions that misled all his fans and also those that viewed the images.

Aiden continued to express his regret at what he had done. For many years he had marketed himself as a legitimate photographer. What he did had made him fall short of what his followers expected from him. He utterly disappointed all those people that believed in him. Sony Company had already started to promote his work on their website. This was a part of the marketing strategy for its mirrorless cameras. Once not twice, Aiden had described himself as a part of the Sony family on his posts.

The Japanese company told Mothership that they were also surprised by what had happened. The company said that they were seriously looking into the matter. Sony reported that they actively encourage the power of creativity. They don’t condone actions of plagiarism. The Japanese company also promised to have severe actions taken on the matter. After Aiden was exposed, it appeared that he managed to remove most of his Instagram photos. However, several viewers have cast irreversible doubt over some of his images.
