There is a new pregnancy app called Babyscripts. It is designed to reduce the number of prenatal visits that a woman needs. Health mobile apps have been growing rapidly in popularity.

There are apps that promote self care and help people manage chronic diseases. The creators of Babyscript believe that their app will be just as helpful as all of the other health care apps. Kathyrn Marko is a medical doctor. She is also an assistant professor at GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Marko stated that prenatal care is one of the most utilized health care services there is. However, there has been little evidence to suggest that standard prenatal care is effective. Babyscripts allow women to monitor their blood pressure and weight at home, which are the two things that are checked at prenatal appointments.

Babyscript also provides women with information on things like breastfeeding and nutrition. Additionally, the app will give warnings when abnormal weight and blood pressure is detected. Weight and blood pressure problems can be indications of serious weight problems such as nutritional deficiencies and preeclampsia.

There was a study done that involved pregnant women who were between the ages of 18 and 40. All of the women were considered low-risk. There were 88 women in the study. The results of the study showed that the women who used the app only had to go to their obgyn an average of 7.8 times. The average woman sees her obygn 10 times during pregnancy.

Babyscript is available on Google Play and iTunes. It has received a lot of positive reviews. Women have stated that the app has made their pregnancies a lot less stressful. They can also send the information from the app to their health care provider, which allows them to intervene when necessary.
