Nomad Internet touts itself as an excellent option for those who reside in rural areas. Those who live in the middle of nowhere know there’s a great challenge in finding quality internet, so any company who says they can help is worth trying.

The sign-up experience was simple. After signing up and entering payment information, Nomad shipped a router right to the doorstep. The internet connection set-up procedure was straightforward and painless, but it was noticeable that the router that was shipped wasn’t quite as good of quality as the one advertised at the time. However, the router did function very well out of the box.

The initial speed test of the Nomad router proved that their connection was higher than the speed of the cellular internet connection in the area, although not by a great deal. Speeds were greater than that of what the local telephone companies offered for internet service, however.

One of the main benefits of the Nomad router is that it can be taken on the go. It is very useful to be able to take the router with you to use as a hotspot of sorts. Nomad advertises on-the-go convenience on their website, and they do have the market cornered in that regard.

The only real downside to Nomad is that the cancellation process was lengthy and drawn out. It seemed like the process could’ve been made much easier and free of hassles, but if you’re not going to be cancelling the service anytime soon, it might not be an issue for you.

Overall, Nomad is an excellent service that provides internet connections of adequate speed to many areas that otherwise wouldn’t be able to get a good internet connection. The ease of portability of their routers is a nice additional bonus to their service.
